I was so excited to see my Med Ball Anna was shortlisted for the Dressed to the Nines category in for Sewing Indie Month!
Yay!
Feel free to vote for me – scroll right down to the bottom of the post and then I’m the one called “Dressed to the Nines Anna“. I’m kind of kicking myself now for choosing such a stupidly generic title when I submitted my link. But hey, live and learn.
I love sewing fancy dresses – I’m completely inspired at the moment by Poppy Kettle’s wedding dress posts – is it weird to want to sew a full-on couture ball gown without any of the necessary skills or the event to wear it to? Yes, probably. Sigh.
Little known secret: my zipper broke while I was taking this off my dress form after taking some pictures, but before I took pictures of me in the dress. Boo for cheap, nasty zippers. I put it on, threw my shoulders back to try and keep the dress from falling off and took the pictures anyway. Hands on hips worked too. :-P
Sadly, I’m in full-on pre-exam study mode right now, so there’s not much sewing going on around these parts. But I have plenty of plans for these holidays!
